You know about CSC and also know that SBI BC Mini Bank across India is offering private and government services to the citizens as well.CSC is a strategic cornerstone of the National e-Governance Plan / National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) approved by the government in May 2006. CSC is providing other personal services in the field of e-Governance with high quality and cost-effective video, voice and data content services such as education, health, telemedicine, entertainment areas through Customer service point.

CSC offers Pan Cards, IGNOU Exten Center, Nielson Survey, e-learning, along with web-enabled e-governance services in rural areas, including application forms, certificates and utility payments like electricity, telephone and water bills.

CSC signed an agreement with State Bank of India (SBI) on December 30, 2011. All its outlets will now be appointed as the Business Correspondents of the State Bank of India (SBI) as Customer Service Points and will conduct banking transactions on behalf of the bank.

How to become a Partner of SBI Kiosk Banking

For this facility, the CSC SPC will enroll SCA in the customer care center / Customer Service Point (CSP) as Sub-BC and VLE as an agreement with State Bank of India (SBI). This facility and participation is available for all CSC retail offices with Web Connectivity. VLE can apply for this facility through SCA.

System Configuration

  • Computer should have a minimum hard drive of 20GB
  • Internet Connectivity via Broad Band or VSAT
  • An Intel base chip or superior provider
  • A web cam
  • A standard printer with scanner and a Finger print device
  • What types of transactions the customer can make: –
  • This is called no-frills account where no minimum balance or fee is charged.
  • Maximum Balance can be Rs. 50000 (Balance can be held on top of this, but then the account is converted into a regular bank account, and bank documents will apply to these accounts).
  • The maximum limit for transactions per day is Rs. 10,000 / –
  • No check book is issued.
  • Only Cash Transaction can be done by the account holder.
  • There is no signature required and only electronic thumb impression is used to access the account.
  • As long as the shop is open, the customers can also avail banking hours for a long time.

How SCA will work as BC Manager

KO is included in the detailed steps document for the work as VSP for CZ, which can be downloaded. According to SCA’s recommendations, the approval of State Bank of India (SBI) will get KO Code as CSC SPV (CSC e-Governance Services India Limited is a Special Purpose Vehicle). Sufficient training on various banking products will be offered by the officials of State Bank of India (SBI). SCA SPV will generate login and password for SCA, which in turn will configure the KO code and generate their login. Each VLE needs to open a settlement account with the branch link of SBI, in which all the transactions of the customer ie deposit / withdrawal will be done through this account.
